Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca is the starting point of this cruise. The city is considered the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. Anyone who has ever stood in front of the imposing cathedral and strolled through the narrow streets of the old town can well understand. I myself lived in Mallorca for a year and am particularly taken with the interior and the picturesque bays.

From Palma, we reach the first anchor bays within a few hours. Swimming, snorkeling, and eating tapas in the beach restaurant – so you can stand it ;-)

If we want to be comfortable, we sail up the southeast coast and spend the night alternately in bays or cozy harbors. If wind and weather cooperate, a longer beat (ca.12 hrs.) to Ibiza and Formentera is the sportier option. Ibiza is the island of parties and DJs, while Formentera is called the Caribbean of the Mediterranean. Here you can find the longest and whitest sandy beaches.

On the way back to Mallorca, you can regularly see dolphins, and from afar, Palma looks very beautiful, especially in the dark sea.

Mallorca – Ibiza – Formentera

Teneriffa

We start in the south and set a course for the impressive west coast of Tenerife.
We sail along the rocky coast with mostly aft wind and a fantastic view of the highest mountain in Spain, the Pico del Teide. The following day we leave the largest Canary Island and sail on a westerly course to the neighboring island of La Palma. The modern marina of Santa Cruz de la Palma is located directly at the city center of this beautiful city. In a few minutes, you can reach cafes, restaurants, and the city beach. A hike in the interior of the island is especially worthwhile. At over 2,000 meters, you can enjoy a fantastic view of Tenerife and La Gomera. When it gets dark, it is worth taking a look at the sky due to the clear air and the low „light pollution,“ astronomers also use the island for their telescopes.

We leave the westernmost Canary Island the next morning and set sail to La Gomera. The round and second smallest island features the second smallest Lorber forest on earth. Due to the constant trade wind clouds in the highlands of La Gomera, one finds oneself in a dense, jungle-like fairy tale forest, which could have served as a filming location for „Lord of the Rings“. In addition to the capital, „San Sebastian,“ we also dock in Valle Gran Rey if the weather conditions are suitable. Many years ago (partly still today), numerous hippies from Europe arrived here to live in the surrounding caves and to realize their own lifestyle.

The next day we leave La Gomera and reach our destination and endpoint, La Galletta in the south of Tenerife. Dolphins and whales are frequent companions on this last stretch.

This cruise is especially suitable for those who like to experience a lot.

Málaga

The south coast of Spain and the associated sailing area, is a very worthwhile destination for all lovers of the Spanish way of life. The impressive scenery with the Sierra Nevada and the numerous coastal towns, delight the heart of sailors. The tour starts in Malaga and leads us along the coast to the impressive bay of Algeciras. Here a visit to Gibraltar and the famous Monkey Rock is on the program. From here we have an impressive view of the African coast and the Strait of Gibraltar.

The further course of the route along the Spanish coast towards the east, leads us to some beautiful harbor towns such as: Motril, Catagena, Fuengirola, or Almeria. Tapas, Spanish joie de vivre and cultural sights round off the day on the water.

By the way, in this sailing area you often meet dolphins and also whales are not rare.
